Yehhh!   We picked up our new HiLo trailer yesterday.  Fun times!  Its a 17′ HI-LO.. towed with my Jeep Liberty and an equilizer hitch with some break controller who’s name fails me now..   I’m happy I did all the online research I did..  The equilizer hitch was a necessity and worked wonders for leveling out the whole setup.  (While the manual did require weight distribution for this tongue weight, equilizer was the universally recommended brand online.)  We’ll have to do some more tweaking next time, but I was extremely pleased with performance..  Its not a V8, but it did well.  It will be fun to take camping in several weeks..  A few more pictures over here.

Michele and i went to Fern Hill bird whatever (I’d call it the Fern Hill sewage pond, but birds and fish don’t seem to care)…  Not a whole lot of birds, but nice and quiet.  Some of the photos are actually at 500mm (which explains the lower quality in some cases.  The lens is nice, but not as pure as my Nikon 200mm w 1.7x TC.

Michele and I waited in line at a local Toys R Us for a Wii.. (which Michele has been wanting for ages).  We also managed to get a Wii Fit for list price..  (they got in 6 and we were #5 in line).  A number of people were peeved they were farther back.  Cool stuff and kudos to Trevor for the location recommendation and Toys R us for keeping people inline & handing out coupons for Wiis…

Michele thinks we should get a camper so we can go camping more often.. even when its rainy, so we stopped by a local camper place and checked out a 16.5′ one of these.  Looks cool and is (in theory) towable by liberty, though I have to check about getting the tramsission cooler installed.  (which I’m not sure I had when I bought it..)

So I bought one of these around Christmas, and let me say that in heart-rate mode, its a harsh mistress..   Except for a too-long period where we were painting the bedroom, I’ve been trying to keep up the 30-minutes a day 5-days a week routine.

Its ability to just ramp-up tension to keep your target heart rate even is cool, but I’m finding unforgiving.  Its been fun to watch it seriously ramp-up the tension compared to where I started, just to keep my heart rate up to target.  (That’s a fair sign of how out of shape I was).

In the end I like it..  nice thing to spend money on..
